OPYC is a global sailing simulation that incorporates physics into its gameplay experience. Unlike other online sailing games that operate on remote servers, OPYC operates locally on your device, allowing for a more immersive and realistic sailing experience complete with waves, Chinese jibes, flapping sails, and unforeseen challenges such as losing control in high winds - it truly embodies the essence of authentic sailing, offering a taste of 'quantum sailing'.

The simulation fetches real wind data from NOAA GFS, providing users with interpolated real-time winds updated every 3 hours over a 144-hour forecast period. VRTool's chart tool is seamlessly integrated into the game's interface, offering features such as downloading wind grids, weather routing optimizations, route plotting, track creation, mark addition, and management of chart objects.

To begin your virtual sailing journey, simply register a boat name, skipper name, and password while selecting a starting port. This account can be accessed across multiple devices, with the latest device connected holding the access key. You may log in using your boat name and password.

Players can accumulate OPYC coins by locating and passing through gates situated across various locations globally (current gates are available in North America, South America, Central America, and Europe). Additionally, users have the option to set up races by choosing a venue and creating either a triangle or linear course, along with the ability to establish regattas and invite friends to partake in the competitive sailing events.

The newly introduced 3D view elevates the realism of sailing challenges, featuring detailed sea waves, dynamic sail animations, fluctuating wind indicators, and other interactive elements that enhance the overall gaming experience.
